Company History Sanyati Roads (Pty) Ltd was formed in August 2003, as Brisk Asphalt & Surfacing following the purchase of certain trading assets in Bentham Asphalt cc by Afriscan Construction. Bentham had previously been involved in the asphalt industry from 1987 and Afriscan had a proven track record as a leading ABE construction company in the region. The amalgamation of the existing technological skills and plant assets of Bentham Asphalt, coupled with the financial and managerial ability of Afriscan Construction, resulted in the formation of a competent and viable ABE asphalt manufacturing and surfacing company re-branded as Brisk Asphalt & Surfacing and now as Sanyati Roads (Pty) Ltd. During the restructuring process the new management invested heavily into the refurbishment of all existing plant and machinery, together with the systematic replacement of all redundant plant with modernized equipment. Revised cost control and administrative procedures were implemented, and the company culture and colours were remodeled and launched to stakeholders in early 2004. The quality control practices and procedures were overhauled resulting in Brisk Asphalt & Surfacing attaining ISO 9001:2000 QC compliance in early 2004, which was subsequently renewed for 2005. Today, the reformed Brisk Asphalt & Surfacing is a competitive, technologically proficient, financially viable, majority empowered asphalting company ready and able to meet the demands of the new South Africa.  |
