Sanyati Holdings believes that educating people will pave the way to a brighter future for the people of South Africa. A key part of the company’s business strategy is its investment in its employees, with the emphasis on training and retaining personnel, in order to enhance and sustain its competiveness.
We also provide accredited training to the members of various communities where our projects are located allowing these members to obtain various construction skills.
Some of the skills that these people have learnt are skills such as kerb laying, manhole building, chemical alien plant eradication, concrete placing and finishing. In this way we are contributing to social responsibility by helping people learn new skills assisting them in finding better jobs.
SANYATI’S OWN TRAINING CENTRE
The company is in full support of the Government’s initiatives to alleviate poverty and reduce unemployment. Our support is in the form of training where our organization took the decision to comply with the Employment Equity and the Skills Development Acts.
In complementing our Training and Skills Development initiatives we now have established a training center based in Botha’s Hill. Our training center which is equipped for management and skills training runs in-house and accredited training. Our qualified and experienced technical personnel are used as training instructors. Accredited training providers are also used for all accredited training. An understanding has already been reached with training providers to be used for this purpose.
It is our short to medium term dream to see our training centre contributing significantly to the increase of scarce skills for the industry. The centre is supported by all subsidiaries of Sanyati.
